Hello, there!
I’m Sara, an interdisciplinary scholar, educator, and creative practitioner.
Currently, I am a Visiting Assistant Professor at Loyola University Maryland in the Political Science Department, where I teach courses on international relations, visual culture & contentious politics, and political mobilization. I hold a PhD in International Relations from LSE’s International Relations Department, funded by UK Research & Innovation’s London Arts and Humanities Partnership.
My research explores the intersections of international politics, art and culture, resistance, and diaspora/migration, with a current focus on artists and cultural producers exiled from Myanmar. Beyond traditional scholarship, I collaborate with artists and institutions to produce educational and experiential creative projects.
