Hello, there!

I’m Sara, an interdisciplinary scholar, educator, and creative practitioner.

From Autumn 2026, I will be a Visiting Assistant Professor at Loyola University Maryland in the Political Science Department, where I will teach courses on international relations, visual culture and contentious politics, and protest/mobilization. I hold a PhD in International Relations from LSE’s International Relations Department, funded by UK Research & Innovation’s London Arts and Humanities Partnership.

I am an international politics scholar researching and writing at the intersection of critical theory, art and culture, resistance, and migration/diaspora, with a current focus on cultural producers exiled from contemporary Myanmar. I also collaborate with artists and academic institutions to produce educational and experiential creative outputs.
